Measurements -

Hips  -.5"
Legs  +.5"

Scale Reading -
2 lb. loss - I'm in a whole new series of digits! Whoop.

Stress Level -
All time high this week. My kiddos still aren't 100% but I was still getting workouts in. Now that school is out it's getting even harder. My grandmother went in the hospital on Friday. My mother went to get us Whataburger while I stayed with my grandmother. That's the first time I've had Whataburger in about year. I had no idea that much time had past since we stopped eating fast food. I wasn't even really hungry when I ate it. The whole thing was just a reaction to stress. Of course I didn't figure this out until afterward. Lesson learned, moving on.

The UP side -
I spent 8 hours cleaning out the garage and it's getting so organized with the exception of all my husband's stuff. I can't organize his stuff but I can get it all in one central location. He has to go through all that himself in his own time. All those hours in the garage were spent sweating! It's HOT outside.

I'm looking forward to reading how the rest of my "sistas" did this week.
And this is a little GLEE inspiration for all of this week!

I'm always hunting workout music which you will find in my DJ Booth at Blip.fm. You can search the #mamavation hashtag or #workouttunes to see my lists. If you have any music suggestions leave them in the comment section!

Stress Level -
All time high this week. The kids were sick with allergies which means I can't leave them at the child watch area while I go to my classes. It also means zero sleep because they are up at all hours of the night. Also, I'm at the doctor's office waiting and waiting and let's not forget the pharmacy where we go to wait some more. On Tuesday I finally made the decision to let go of my online store Happy Panda. It's been a tough week. My plan of getting more than workout running in didn't happen. I'm just exhausted. The instructor for our Beach Body boot camp is leaving. This is the 3rd trainer that I have worked with that has had to leave the YMCA. I was really hoping to work more with her because she has an awesome spin class. When I finally did make it back for a work out it was so horrible! It felt like I had never worked out all. It was like starting from the beginning. Ugh!

The UP side -

There has to be one! I'm really trying to find one but I'm quickly losing motivation. Oh wait! I almost forgot...
I cleaned out my closet and this is what I have left. This is my wardrobe people. Yes, I'm serious. Those are my jeans, dress shirts, t-shirts, collared shirts, dresses and work out t-shirts. rofl....This is my upside. It's my reminder that regardless of what happens I'm still working on an overall goal and I MUST add to my wardrobe. It's really hard when your in weight transition to add anything but it must be done. What is left here on this rack is either too big or too small, very few of these items have a good fit at all. I'm still looking forward to that run June 19th.

I'm looking forward to reading how the rest of my "sistas" did this week.

Junior's Adventures Books by Dave Ramsey Giveaway

When we went to see Dave Ramsey here in Houston we picked up the boxed set of Junior's Adventures series for our kids. They love the whole series! It just so happens while cleaning up around the old house here I found two extra copies.
"When you were a kid, did you ever borrow money from your brother or sister? Did they make your life miserable until you paid them back? In Battle of the Chores, Junior learns that being in debt to someone is not fun! This story teaches your child the value of working for money and the disadvantages of borrowing money. It will introduce them that the borrower is servant to the lender. This book is illustrated by award-winning cartoonist Marshall Ramsey. Recommended for kids ages 3-10."

"Junior really, really wants an awesome new bike, but he doesn't have the money to buy it. So, what does he do? He goes to work to earn the money! In The Super Red Racer, Junior learns about the rewards of hard work. This story teaches children the value of working hard to earn money instead of just expecting people to hand it to them. This book is illustrated by award-winning cartoonist Marshall Ramsey. Recommended for kids ages 3-10."

If you have or know of some children that could benefit from these books then enter to win.

How do you enter?
Leave me a comment telling me your best money teaching tip for kids!

Contest ends 11:59 cst on 5/27/10 and the winner will be announced here on this post 5/28/10. Good Luck!

My Pillow Pets - Had To Have One

My Pillow Pets had a booth at the Strawberry Festival and when we passed they had this unicorn pillow. My husband had to buy it for our precious little snow flake! Of course the boys had to have one each too. Then came the 2 for one low price special! We walked away with four of these pillows! My husband and I walked away saying to each other "What just happened?!" rofl.....

We were completely sucked in by the cuteness and the softness. What's really cool is the way they Velcro together to sit as a stuffed animal and it opens up as a pillow. They even had one that was washed so we could see how it felt. These are going to be taken on camping trips, sleep overs and of course the car.

I must confess that the lady bug is mine! lol - It's an early birthday gift. I was hoping to get the Moose for my husband online but they are out of stock right now. :(
We need to stay away from these festivals!

BICO - Jewelry For The Next Generation

While at the Houston Highlands and Celtic Festival there was this booth that caught my son's eye. He is a preteen which makes this so surprising to me. He had never shown any interest in wearing jewelry until he saw the Bico product line. Their unique selection had him standing there for a long time. The one he chose is called fu-xing (it means good fortune and happiness) with a royal blue in the design. The one pictured below doesn't show any color but it has a really nice design to the pendant.
This is going to be his birthday gift from me. They have lots of choices for chains but I think he would like the leather. I'm going to have him browse their chain and choker selection just to be sure. If your looking for something non mainstream check out their line here.

BICO has not compensated me for this post and it is based on my opinion. Before you go, don't forget to link up! I'm sure we are in some of the same circles. Have a look around the side bars and don't forget to check the "Add Me" tab.

Stress Level -
Really high this past week. Too many places to be. I skipped a work out just to stay home and clean my house. I get frustrated not being able to keep up with it all. My iron count was too low to give blood again. We had our family church portrait made for the church directory. Ugh! A picture is worth a thousand words and I still have so much more to go. We lost another teacher at the YMCA and she taught about 4 of the classes that I was taking. We will have replacements but this is the 2nd person gone since I started with Mamavation. My kids are getting sick so I won't get to boot camp today but maybe I can fill it with something else. I will miss Tuesday too because there is a school graduation for my other son. The end of the school year is very much like the beginning of the school year.

The UP side -
I'm still planning to run the 5K in June. I need to get more running in and that will be my goal for this coming week. I need to time my runs in order to know how long I can run. I checked out the couch to 5K program but need the time in order to know where I fall on the chart. I'm not freaked out about the 2 pound gain. Actually I was very frustrated at first and that's putting it mildly but after the measuring results I can see that I maintained most of it. That makes me feel better. We have a new TV so I hope to get back on the Wii and EA programs again.

I'm looking forward to reading how the rest of my "sistas" did this week.
And this is a little GLEE inspiration for all of this week. I'm a sucka for a Flash Mob!

It's a Tea Party!

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Say Please Tea Set - 4 Stars

We have a storage unit that we use to store business inventory and I hid all the Christmas gifts inside. The other day when I was going to pick up some boxes I found a bag and inside it there was the Tea Set that I had purchased for our baby girl. When I gave it to her she was so excited!

She wasn't the only one, her brothers immediately showed her how to have a proper tea party. It was a site to see let me tell you. When Dad came home she was ready for him. Ready for some really cute photos?

I was not paid for this post it is my own opinion and I did not receive any Fisher-Price toys as compensation. Before you go, don't forget to link up! I'm sure we are in some of the same circles. Have a look around the side bars and don't forget to check the "Add Me" tab.

7 lb. loss! WT???? SWEET!~!~!~!

Stress Level -
Again, pretty stress free this week.

The UP side -

I stopped drinking coffee but I didn't go back right away either. I was free for 12 days. Saturday at a BBQ I had a glass of sweet tea but mainly stuck to water. Sunday I had coffee at church. I may just stick to the once a week thing. After all when I'm here at home during the week and make a pot of coffee I feel obligated to drink it all. I think my body just let go of all the water weight. I mean 7 pounds in a week? That's crazy. Sure I've kicked my work outs up a notch but I'm working those fruits and veggies in every single day. I'm going with fruit when I hit that mid day slump! I can't believe it really works. Now where does this put me? According to my trusty calendar this puts me all the way back to March. These are the same numbers I was dealing with during that month. I'm ok with that. I'm still working the extra boot camp which I love and I'm still planning to run the 5K in June. I need to get more running in and that will be my goal for this coming week.
